I had an epiphany on the shipping. With a front and rear tire shipped together that makes a difference on shipping costs, in your favor. I will e-mail everyone shortly and we'll either sort this thing out or kick it out. If you still haven't given me shipping details for a quote or need one and don't get one please get in touch.

It doesn't look like we're going to get 13 sets. There are one or two people that have said they may want in to make up the 13th set or get 6 tires instead of 4. The quote good till 12/20/11 for 10 sets is $222.96 per tire shipped to me. I have re-quoted it AGAIN with a cost based on the shipped to me quote of $222.96 per tire and a better shipping rate for shipping them in pairs.
Your total for 4 tires would be (4x222.96) + shipping to you from me at 03245 with a total of $800 insurance + $20 handling + $4 shippers pickup. The dimensions for a pair of tires (one front one rear) is 26 x 26 x 22 @ 40 lbs. |
I am still in for the 10 set price, for me it still beats ordering them elsewhere.

The deal is not dead....yet. What we need is for the people who committed out here in the open to PM or email Nick and fulfill their commitment by arranging payment and shipping. Otherwise then yes its dead. Nick can you post up who has committee to pay you?

No, that's why I wanted to have them confirm. I think only 4 or 5 have tried to clarify payment options at this point. I can't buy any tires without money up front. Anyone not got a quote or unclear on numbers needs to get in touch with me.

Paypal, credit card, transfer or check is fine. First two require 3% extra to cover transfer fees. Check needs a couple of days to mail and deposit. Bear in mind the quote is good till the 20th. I have taken people off the list I have either not heard from or who have considerately informed me they are out. This looks like where we are at, please let me know otherwise.

Nick, your last post shows only 7 sets. Is the $222.96 per tire still good? I thought that we had to have 10 sets for that price.

Yesterday the count was for 12 interested buyers, but today your recent list shows 7 firm + 1 possibly (Mike) - I'm set to make payment to you based on your recent price of $222.96 x 4 = $891.84 (plus insurance, shipping and handling). The 20th is on Tuesday, and so I'm wondering since the number of interested buyers has declined, are you going to cancel? When do you "close the door" and say "yea" or "nay" to go forward? I'll need to know by Monday. George |
I have been dealing with the sales manager, he is out this week. No one else was prepared to make a commitment. He is back on Monday and I will let you know what we are able to do then. If I can stretch it out for another week on the quote date, if he will still do the good discount price at say 6 sets, if everyone can get me payment for the tires before the weeks end and if no one else pulls out it might actually happen. I will let you know as soon as I do right here on Monday. Thanks for your patience and communication on this, you can appreciate what a logistical exercise this is. Stay tuned, don't touch that dial!

I just got off the phone with my very patient Goodyear Sales Manager. They will hold that price for us. If you are in you need to get payment to me by Thursday the 22nd. The distributor is closed Friday. It looks like the manufacturer is closed next week. If I don't get the tires ordered this week it will be on next years books and may be subject to a price increase.
