Turkey Rod Run
Is anyone going to Daytona for the Turkey Rod? If so where do you stay I would like to meet some of you there. I saw 4 or 5 Cobras there last year at the cruise on A1A. Lets meet somewhere an do some cruising.

I'm thinking about going, since it's only an hour from the house. My brother has a house in Ormond Beach (just N of Daytona), so I would probably stay there. Let me know your plans, we can try and meet up.

Daytona
I will be coming down Friday morning an staying at the campground at old Dixie highway an I95. It only cost 8.00 dollars a night to stay there. Then I will go to the car cruise they have on A1A I think its at Ormand Beach. Coming from the campground to Cruise is a beatiful ride down Old Dixie Highway. Can meet you at the show or where ever you say. I met lamalover he has an era too. Hope to see you there. Flip

Hey Flip, wish we could meet you for this show and cruise but we are not coming down to Florida this winter. We are going to spend the winter a little closer to home this year in Arizona. Maybe we can get together next year.

Made it to the Turkey Rod Run 2011, only 1 of the 4 days unfortunately (Friday).
There were thousands of cars, all makes, all models.. only saw a few cobras besides mine (ERA154), a CSX 4xxx continuation, an FFR, and the Backdraft rig with their cobras.
We must have walked 5 miles in the infield, through the cars, through the swap shop, it was a good day.. Kinda overcast, so we didn't bake too much.

I was there Friday & Saturday & I saw a lot of Cobras all for sale. I think the only Manufacturer was Reg Dodd of BackDraft Racing; they sold 3 new Cobras on Friday. FFR was there last year with Performance Automotive but did not return this year. Unique use to always come but was not there & the Weaver brothers told me they always came so the rumor would not be started that they had passed away. Hunter has not been in years & Street Beasts has disappeared from the market.

We, Unique Motorcars, showed in Daytona for about 15 years but stopped going when our space was moved from the garage area to behind a bathroom where no one could find us. We asked for 3 years to be moved but was told it couldn't happen. We might try to make it next year if we can get decent space.

Alan,
I would have found you if you were located behind the Men's room as I'm constantly looking for the Men's room. You know by coming on to this thread we now know that you are all still alive and well.
