To pass a SB off as a "427" just because it's stroked and bored to that number is disingenuous, to say the least... and you know that.

I'm just damn glad to have a Cobra. It is a small block 427, I enjoy it for what it is. I've had much faster cars, but none as enjoyabe to drive. I did not buy it to satisfy or impress others, only for my personal experience and enjoyment. Others can do as they wish, then do not make my decisions or control my situation. I do no need their validation to know what I personnally enjoy.
Aside from that I wish you all a Merry Christmas and a wonderfull new years with many happy and safe miles!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just out of curiousity, what were your faster cars?
And I'm asking because I'm a gearhead and love all fast cars.

Mee too, whats faster than a cobra, unless its some twin turbo or supercharged motor, but in that case it can be done in a cobra as well and would still be faster, especially on the street. 0 to 100 in a cobra is hard to beat.

99 Corvette stroked 402 with a Vortec Supercharger with meth injection and 3:90 gears; 706 hp and 657 tq to the wheels
69 Camaro with LS6 454 and 4:11 gears
Seems my 07 Z06 ( currently dyno'd at 565 hp) with some mod work is about as quick as the SPF. Not knocking the Cobra at all here, just stating I enjoy the car for what it is

Wait a second here. Patrick has a 428. That's like the light beer or a white wine spritzer's of FE's.
You gotta love a SB versus BB argument on Christmas Eve. Please just use the search button.

Once again, the entire world would agree with this statement except guys with a small block 427 (and even a healthy portion of them). And you know that's true.

The entire world? I'm sure there are some folks fighting for democracy somewhere around the world who don't care about BB's versus SB's.
I wouldn't discount the Dodge Viper V10 engine in the Superformance.
