There was an episode of Top Gear that I watched, and I watch very infrequently, where they "prep" 3 used/poor condition Alfas of various years and models, in theory for an Alfa car show/concours, then just beat the poop out of them (think demolition derby) trying to get them to the show in order to compete in the concours.

A very funny and entertaining episode:

I know I'm not of the old guard around here but it seems a few of you old timers have duller fangs than you used to.

There's a 'Peaches and Herb' song that comes to mind...

The Buddha preached that we shouldn't dwell in the past and to concentrate our minds on the present moment. He also preached loving kindness.

Let's be kind to our old friend and pal Evan. Although that paragraph about "SAAC nailing it" and "the general public being the final arbiter of Shelby Cobra's" seems like a dip into the past, an old record we've heard before.

Anyway, Top Gear also did an episode reviewing the new BMW X3 and totally ripped it a new one.

I wouldn't want them reviewing my car.

BTW, I think Evan's younger brother has started to post on the SAAC Forum. Take a look at the license plate on CSX4025:

Rodknock: No relation and that license plate was not my idea! Not even I would go that far.

One of the funniest Top Gear episodes is when Clarkson pits a Range Rover Sport against a Challenger tank. Do a search on YouTube. It is hilarious.

Thanks Rodney for fighting the good fight in my name on SAAC's forum! Ref-Knockers post in the '4025' thread.

I believe you.... BUT, I think you would garner credence if you had either a loving cup or revolving star next to your name. AND, if you threw a couple of bucks in to the 767Jockey build, that would help too.

Patrick: It's been a while since I've been around. I don't know what the revolving star or loving cup is.

Also what is the 767Jockey Build?

Trust me, I'm not looking to buy acceptance or friends (and don't need to) but I have no problem helping worthy causes so update me.

Thanks.

Man, you guys drone on and on about my car never being driven. A bunch of drones you are

BTW, what's the difference between the words "real" and "original" as they relate to Shelby Cobras? Just kidding. Don't answer that.

We're talking Top Gear here.

The worthy cause: http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/all-...767jockey.html

and if you look up in the right hand corner where it says Welcome, Real1 there is a link below it to "Be a CC Contributor." Another worthy cause. And I have a theory that you're less likely to get your ass tossed out of here if you contribute with a smile on your face.... But I don't know whether that's true or not.

I love Knockers but I couldn't help myself. Very few posters literally make me 'El Oh El'. His post was begging to be 'Chas-ed'.

Speaking of fighting the good fight, I haven't cleaned the KMP in over 1,000 miles. Well, not the body anyway.

Rodney is one of those one-percent-er's. He and Trump are starting a new movement called Occupy Beverly Hills.

It's means my membership is merely in the early stages, before final application and polishing. Perhaps a few more generations in breeding...

Hey, you had to tout that gold star...

Either that or he just sits around factoring prime numbers.

See? You guys are softening up!
My response was begging for an "in-breeding" joke and you guys are loading up on Metamucil.
For shame.

One of us with two rollbars has no need for Metamucil. The crap just falls out of him...look at the bait-job he's trying on poor Evan.

"Bait Job???" Surely Evan is bright enough to take care of himself.

Yes, I missed the in-breeding joke. Oops! Not my area of expertise. Yours?

It's like the good old times with Evan around.

Not sure what Metamucil was until you mentioned/inferred it, but I don't have any issues in that department. I'm not money rich, but I am fiber rich.
