You are correct, the BB is not there.

Hi mickmate. The pic I saw of the original shirt was in the Shelby American 2011 Annual magazine on page 70.
Cheers Greg |
I will take a two also.

John,
Go to this post http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/club...t-we-have.html , there are pictures of the tires there. You can click on the picture and then just save it to your computer. |
Terry,
It's up to Greg as to what he wants to do from here. |
A little off topic, I saw a shirt years ago, on the front it had two big chrome nuts and written underneath was:
"You gotta have 'em." Willowbank Raceway |

Wounded Warriors would be good. We have a lot of Vets that own Cobras.
Dwight LT Adams with his 5 speed Tremec FFR. It's competed and he is on the road. http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/d...ms_7-17-10.jpg |
Thanks John. But I'm not looking for a picture of the tire, I'm looking for an imprint/image of the tread as if a tire rolled across a length of paper and left an image of the tread pattern.
Greg |
Brock did it the hard way, lol! I have a billboard tread graphic I created in Illustrator for another project a while back. It can be rendered any size from crisp black lines to a more realistic tire track look. If you need it let me know, and if you need help with a front Club Cobra design for a good cause, I can help with that too. Check out my gallery.

Thanks Buzz. Exactly what I was looking for! Please pm me the crisp black version and I'll check out your gallery.
If we all think the Club Cobra forum logo would be good for the front, who do I need to ask for permission to use it? Cheers Greg |
No problem Greg. I'll process it to t-shirt size and send it to you. Brent, Jamo or Computerworks can guide you on the use of the CC logo.
|
Thanks Buzz. A typical XL tee shirt is 28" from the collar to the bottom of the tail. So a 28" to 30" long image should work.
Cheers Greg |
I've saved a 30" version in PDF format, but it doesn't look like I can attach a file from my computer in a PM. If you like, PM me an email address and I'll send it as an attached PDF.
|
Sorry for the confusion. I thought that maybe John could manipulate the picture into just a tire tread pattern for a shirt in Adobe. Looks like Buzz has it taken care of.
|
Thanks Buzz. I PM'd you.
Cheers Greg |
Email sent.

If you don't mind my .02 here. I would suggest the tire tread print be a little distressed looking so as to be more realistic of a tire running over the shirt. Too crisp and it will look printed. Also tilted so it's not perfectly vertical top to bottom. Just some more ideas to ponder. I like where this is going though and want in on the purchase. The charity is a generous idea and a good one.
John |
Another .02 - do something retro rather than a Club Cobra logo on the front. Let Buzz come up with a Cobra emblem or something that looks like it's from the 60's without infringing on copyrights.
Nothin' against this site, but I won't buy a CC t-shirt. Do something like the original shirt, and you'll sell more of them to benefit the veterans charity. |
I would like to second the suggestions by MaSnake about the tire tread being distressed as if an actual tire had rolled over a shirt. Tilting the image so it is not perfectly vertical is visually much more interesting as well. Has anyone found a picture of the original to use as a template or point of reference? Posting a picture of it would be great.
I would be in for several as well. Bob |
