Amelia Island 2012
I am headed to Amelia Island next week, is anyone else planning to attend? It sounds like a great time even though there is no track events. I will be with a Gold 427 car. If you are there come introduce yourself.
I will post pictures post event, bet I will get some great photo ops.....  |

Jeff,
I have attended Amelia Island before, but not attending this year. If you like vintage old cars that normally are in a car museum Amelia Island is the place. As far as taking pictures it will be hard as I think every snowbird brought along three friends this year and you will find Amelia Island crowds unbelievable. You will get a lot of pictures but when viewed you will find more assholes and elbows than cars.

THe actual show is not until today & starts at 9am, going on Saturday leaves all the elbows out of your pictures.

Hey Cobrajeff.. I saw your two Cougar II at the Amelia Concours very nice and I did get a picture without elbows and a**holes..Also Jeff Gagnon I saw the gold cobra cruising thru with a beautiful blonde hand waver in the passenger seat, very nice..

Had a great time at Amelia Island hanging out with the Bordinat Cobra and Cougar II. Just to clarify, I call them "my" babies because I found them in a forgotten warehouse gathering dust, and cleaned them up for SAAC 29 in 2004. I replaced a number of parts that had been pilfered from them, and hand buffed the paint on both cars. Unfortunately, they don't actually belong to me - they still belong to the Detroit Historical Society. This was only the second time in history the two obviously related cars have been displayed together.
It was great to see 1985CCX, Joe from Panel Craft, and Wayne (owner of CSX3021) at the show. The weather was perfect, and I even managed to get in early enough to get a few pictures ahead of the crowds. Here's a link to my pictures on Flikr - enjoy!
