Good job to all of the hawk eyes who spotted the obvious. Congratulations to legless for being the first suspicious one. Blykins the car was being chased by a helicopter and could have been shot from the top. Great fun. Two weeks ago my car was purchased by a movie producer in Los Angeles. My wife and I were invited to watch a music video being filmed in Palmdale. The producer was very gracious to let us stand around and watch the action of seven police cars and a helicopter chasing the cobra. I was talking to the stunt driver later and telling him it was fun to watch him do all of the stuff I never had the balls to do, like 180's and smoke the tires in the other direction. The video is for a new Maroon 5 video for the song Phone Booth. The video has Adam Levine driving the car. Thanks for having fun with me. Jim Fletcher

Oh, I was hoping we would see lots of footage with your car up for a lead roll in Fast and Furious 427 or whatever number it is up to. Fantastic looking car but what are you going to do with all your spare time now that you’ve sold your black car. :D

I have been working on a ERA GT40 for almost 2 years. 1 more month and it will be on the ground. Then I have been working on a chopper design. Fortunitly I have a wife that lets me not grow up.

We all should have wives who enable our childhood. Congrats! Now post up some pictures of the GT40 and chopper.

I agree. They do not look real. Look like stickers because they all appear to straight on with the exception of the wind screen. My 2 cents, for whatever that’s worth!

Do you have a buy back option on the car?

My better half just called me out to look at whatever show she was watching, something on E, and the video is already out with this car.
The car looked good, even though they did (fake) blow up the car at the end! I only caught the end/last 30 seconds or so, but you don't see a close up shot to show that the bullet holes look fake.
I'm actually surprised at how quick the turnaround time is from film to broadcast.

I don't understand why they would buy an aluminum Kirkham for something like this.
Did they really destroy it? If so that totally answers the question of "can you buy it back".

The car was not damaged. It was all Hollywood make up. They did replace the windshield with a fake so they could put holes in it. Jim

Is this the same car featured briefly in the Beeber vid?
Justin Bieber - Boyfriend - YouTube
(if you click the link, turn your speakers off - its diabolical trash, but the americana looks great)

I found the official video on YouTube too.
Very fun to see a Cobra in a video, although I agree he should have been able to smoke the cop cars.
Thanks for sharing!!
