The San Jose Mercury News wants to host this once in a lifetime photo shoot in memory of Shelby.
As of now the venue is 750
Ridder Park Drive San Jose


We will do a moment of silence and the a moment of noise a "Start Your Engines"

Nobody pays anything, just bring your car and park for the shot.

We have been asked to help assemble a tribute/memorial for Carrol Shelby. I will be "Calling all Shelby's"
of all kinds, Sunbeam Tiger, Shelby Mustangs, Cobra, Chrysler Shelby, Shelby recreations of all
kinds, any street rod with Shelby named parts. We will have a picture taken from a crane by Rich
Seive & Denis Mattich to send to the Shelby organization. This will be a poster, any and ALL money
will go to a Carrol Shelby Charity if the poster goes for sale and handled by a charity. I am also
contacting Steve Davis from Barrett Jackson & my good friend John Bemiss from Russo & Steele who all
have worked with Carrol from many years. Plus asked them to be a speaker.

No profit on this event will be made, no Vendors. No money made on anybody. Please, this is about
the respect of Carrol Shelby.

I will be calling in some favors to KLIV, KTRY, KYA and KFOX, plus Sally Howe from Campbell press &
Mary Gottchalk from the Silicon Valley press, and of course the Mercury News. They all are great

People/dealers who help support this will be listed and named on all collateral & picture, The only
cost will be the crane fee, extra bath rooms if needed, and sound, plus band. The event will be 3
hours. All guest speakers (maybe4) very short 4 to 5 min each.

I need all car peoples help in this or any input, I do know this is quick. so are Shelby's

Timing is "ASAP" most likely May 26th
