**Barn Find**shelby cobra rare rear end
Hey guys i have something here i could use your help with.Below is pictures of what i believe to be a shelby cobra, although all the ones ive ever seen have a different rear end and different trunk shape. The body is what i believe to be either alimunim or really light steel. The frame itself is steel and looks like it was custom made. So i was wondering if its not a shelby cobra what could it be?? http://i369.photobucket.com/albums/o...eh99/ff002.jpg

a real gem there.......i think if you go look behind the barn you'll find the rust spot and crater it was sitting in before it was dragged in there
http://www.clubcobra.com/forums/pict...d=7894&thumb=1 I agree with Rick, this looks like a 1958 +~- MGA with a modified dash, here is a picture of one like it.
Definitely a Ford key though.
"Danger, Will Robinson!" Agree, leave it, unless you like pain and misery and have an up to date tetanus booster.
And def NOT Aluminum:)
Leave it where you found it.
Not worth the cost of dragging out of the barn. |
Everyone is so negative, what's a little rust? Let's help the guy out. Here's your first part, a new steering wheel.:LOL:
Run man, run. |
Damn, burn down that barn........ Looks like one of those Healey 3000 kits using 302... Sorry, not a fan .
I like the galvanized dashboard...

you could build a nice cobra for less than it would take to restore that mga
That's the first engine compartment that I've seen that I thought looked worse than mine.
Seriously, it's an interesting piece, but it would take years of work and then, what exactly would you have? |
Russo & Steele will calling on the phone any minute! Shhhhhh! Mum is the word.
MGA for sure...
its french
called a pile of sheet.
Agree. MGA. I've seen that sort of grille opening added to an 'A before (why would you do that?) And definitely steel body.
