Well Ed I saw your rant and will remind you of a few things.
Since you've been lurking here since 2003, I'll refresh your memory that the 'nastiness' is not new here or attributable to just two or three guys. Recall the days of Turk, 'Nasty Lil Pat' and Jamo (among others) when CC was like the Wild West until they got tired of the sheep here and created Gasholes for themselves. Jamo remains as the (mostly) unseen Hand of God and is quite fair in his criticism and liberal with his opinion.
Your rant conveniently overlooked the fact that Pat and Jim are among the most prolific contributors of helpful info, pictures, diagrams and experience-borne advice on the board. They are as entitled to strong opinions as you are to yours. You don't have to like 'em (or me) but please be mindful of their contributions.

Chas,

My name is Eric, but no foul there - I don't go by that here anyway.

I certainly recall Meat, Turk, Pat, and Jim - also Evan (good old Evan). First, as you said, some of them were prolific contributors of much good information, which puts them in a different class from the current crop of pundits who don't know as much first-hand information and speak without the benefit of experience. Second, they were sarcastic, yet good natured - a lot of ribbing went on, but without the vitreolic tone (except for maybe when BackinBlack was whining). The current group just seems mean and nasty, for no apparent reason. Anyhow, this site seems to be losing the good natured ribbers and a lot of other folks and I hope it doesn't lose folks like Rick Lake and Barry R...

Sorry Eric.
What you say is largely true but remember that Ernie and Dorman (as two examples) were crippled routinely.

Eric, did you really think my post #6 was out of line?

Not sure why I am mentioned above, but it seems to me that there are some folks here that believe you have to agree with them or they want to attack. We all have a variety of experiences and should be able to share that without having one poster attack another for having a different perspective.

Hahaha, I was "stereotyped?" Well there are a lot worse felons than you to be lumped in with. Hell, at least you have docs to back up your outlandish oil pressure claims. :3DSMILE:

Ernie deserved it... almost always.

Patrickt: I am not the out-of-line police

Please all y'all just carry on
