Let's just say that 200hp is enough to kill you and your passenger in a Cobra and leave it at that.

PSB 06-15-2012 05:55 AM

This is not enough ;)

I think I'd like a Shelby recreation of that dual super charged auto trans. Was it about 800 HP? That would be fun.

lets just say its not the horsepower its the drivability....i've driven both 300 to 600 hp cars...if you can't get the torque running smoothly enough down low the car is not driveable on the street....if you are looking for a single purpose track toy then it doesn't matter....

crASH 06-15-2012 09:00 AM

Probably not enough.

I believe the original AC Ace (pre-Shelby and pre-Bristol engine) had around 100 HP. Then the AC Bristol had around 120HP. Not sure with the Ford Zephyr 6, just prior to Shelby getting ahold of them.

None of those were enough.

DAVID GAGNARD 06-15-2012 10:28 AM

You only need enough HP to beat the car on the side of you at the stop light!!!!!!!!!!!!

Any small block. :p:eek::LOL:

Sorry, just could not resist.:o

When it gets boring.

If you hit the go pedal and don't get a smile, or at least a small grin, it's time for some more power.

On the flip side, if you don't need to push the pedal to get a bigger smile, you probably have enough horsepower (and possibly the wrong car...for not wanting to give it some gas).

I have around 300hp. Is it enough? Sure. Do I want more? Sure.
