Default CSX historians...

When and where was the debut of the CSX 4000 series?
Was it at SEMA in the '90's?
Thanks as usual to the knowledgeable.

Latter part of 1996...I don't recall an "event" style announcement.

Order date or completion date?
I was gonna say 95-97 but that's not very helpful, is it?

Not a particular car R-just the debut announcement of the series. I guess Ron's nailed it.

I own csx4060 and remember the buying experience very well. I first read about it in Kit Car magazine while in the middle of an ERA build. I called Shelby American and got on a waiting list. They mailed me a package and I think I had to make a deposit. Pretty sure is was late 1996. The first time I saw the first 4000 car (csx4011) was at an SAAC event in Las Vegas. CSX4011 looked like hell and had clearly been slapped together in haste. However, the potential was obvious and the car looked like, if done right, it could be exactly like the 3000 cars. I still have all the documentation of the literature they mailed me with the introduction package. If you're interested, send me a PM and I'll share it with you.

Those cars were the "completion" cars, not the CSX4000 "continuation" cars that came later.
