Default Comparison of MOST roadster replicas side by side

I wanted to see if someone can benefit from this link. I have seen many threads asking for the differences between the car's profiles and looks.
See how this works for ya!
Hope it helps or just entertains.

Hard to see, but the ERA doesn't have quick jacks. Looks like those partial bumpers.

Well, guys and gals. I sort of expected a variety of appreciations and I have not been disappointed. I sent this only to get some 'kind' of comparison as so many questions were submitted about same. These are older shoots and though not exactly the same angle, height and sucn, it does give a reference.
I would like to see all represented models, same location, same angle and if possible, same color! But, unless the moon and Saturn align, ain't happenin'!
Any, glad you appreciated the thought, as it was for us all to have a look see!
Any yes rocket girl, it would also be cool to get interior pics as well. They are all different for sure. I have a FFR and like the fact that I sit lower in the cockpit. I also have an expanded foot box which is paramount for comfort and driving ability!! I did steal some Superformance seats and sidepipes a long while back and the seats are very very comfy and the pipes don't blow out my ears, but sound solid!

If I were making an argument for replication, I don't think those photos are doing justice. The difference in color and lighting may account for a lot of it but that black one up top and the silver one a few down have really different fender, door, and rear quarter shapes and proportions. There's 3 or 4 you'd need to combine to echo that top shot.

I'm sure at 130mph they all look great...

I think the ERA (third car) looks by far the best. besides great lines, it sits low like I remember all the originals from the old days.

The ERA picture looks stretched. Also, are those the latest pictures of the FFR and Backdraft?

Slight difference in camera angle (in this case height and distance from subject) have an impact on these pictures as they are not taken identically. But it's a better comparison than I've seen to date.

No, ERA put that portfolio years ago together. And no the ERA picture is not stretched, just hold a ruler on the 3155 and compare...

The quick jacks are correct for the FIA car they are on.

Horrible comparo.
In order to be fair, the cars would have to be placed in the same spot, same cam placement, lighting, etc.
The Kirkham was taken way too high.
Some ride heights are for the Monster Truck show.
Even being off center makes a difference.

Great link Fred Z. I'd love to see the concept extended to an empty engine bay, the interior and a front facing view of the rear haunches. Any maybe the wiring harness too.

Having sat in six of these, I've found that they all fit different for the driver.

As I said on that page, I am open to use better pictures to make the most accurate comparison. I took the ERA picture from waist height and about 50 feet away in order to minimize perspective effects.

Some of the current pictures are not true profiles, either taken from too close or from head height, but they were the best I could find. None had their proportions changed, although I might have done some contrast/brightness editing for clarity.

That's OK Bob, Rodney is going to arrange a shoot of all the cars in exactly the same studio lighting and angles.

A great post. I think a lot of them look great. Thr original of course and the Contemporary has a special place in my heart. But I don't care for the perky butt look Cobras should be swoopy and curvy like a woman(which a perky butt is good). Oh and I dont think the picture of the West Coast is a West coast Cobra , I had a Stallion (which the West Coast is a derivative of) and that is not it's profile.

Is there a reason why? with the exception of the Kirkham and Contemporary that the rear wheel openings seem to get stretched out?
