Ebay- Cobra with Ford covers on a Chevy engine ? SILLY !
I think this Cobra for sale on ebay that has a Chevy engine, but the valve covers are the "Cobra Powered By Ford",..... is silly !
(oh, but he say it's a Corvette,....motor)
I do prefer,...at least a Ford engine in a Cobra, but I won't smash someone for using a different make, but why put Ford valve covers on the Chevy engine ?

You run into that alot in the hot rod world. They make all kinds of stuff to camoflage the Chevy, Ill add very poorly. Hemi valve covers, flathead, vintage Olds....ect ect.

No one has to hide a Chevy in a Cobra replica, and a Hemi in a Cobra replica is a Bad Ass ride!!!You can get valve covers that just say Cobra or LeManns Cobra for a Chevy so why would you want to say powered by ford??? Fords are great engines and they are great in a Cobra replica and so is a Hemi, and so is a Chevy and from a cost ,performance and durability Chevy is a better choice. And let's not kid ourselves for those of us with a replica, it's not a real Cobra it is a hot rod that is shaped like a Cobra.

I have no problem with the engine choice, but covering a Chevy motor with Ford covers ?
That's like having a Hemi, with Chevy covers !
Very lame.

I am surprised they didn't move the distributor to the front to really make it look real. They have a kit for that also.

Yup. The kit mounts the engine backwards.
