Yea........but I bet Costco doesn't sell Flux Capacitors like O'Reily Auto Parts:

EB Enterprises 121G - Flux Capacitor | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Can we drive it for a year and then take it back?

I have a vivid memory of Costco burned in my memory.....about 5 years ago I was eating a quick unhealthy lunch at a nearby Costco store. Nearby was the return desk. I was peope watching. There was a couple who had a matress on one of those orange 4 wheel carts meant for heavy stuff and I assume it was going to be returned. This matress had the bottom shreaded like a dozen cats had been living under it. My mind was racing at what thier excuse was going to be and how it was to be justified????? YUK

The price is $89,995 I think but you you get tool boxes, snap down flooring and bike racks, etc.

They are the shiny ones with ghost stripes.

It was in WSJ or something else I read a short time back.

I would be interested but I am kinda sentimental about my birthday present in photo avatar and we don't have any more room for cars.

Yes, I would never buy one........again.

Mr. Shelby was never much of a promoter of his products. Since the early days, he always cultivated more of a refined "hoity toity" clientele.

trularin 09-11-2012 12:29 PM

Rick Parker, was it those pizza slices or that good-for-nothing sausage??

SMOKNAC 09-12-2012 08:32 PM

No, it Does not cheapen the product in my mind?
I think Kirkham cobra's, are the nicest rep. out there............

razerwire 09-13-2012 07:00 AM

I agree that Kirkham is making the nicest car . I believe mine is a Kirkham, which is fine with me. I have parked next to other alum cars and like the shape a lot better. My point was where it was for sale , not the car. Maybe if it was wall-mart not cosco you would see where I was coming from.

SPF1061 09-13-2012 07:38 AM

Razerwire,
Am I reading your post correctly? You own an aluminum bodied replica but don't know who the manufacturer is?

healthservices 09-13-2012 10:31 AM

Look a little closer, are you sure it is not re badged as a Kirkland Signature product?

Sorry could not resist ;)

razerwire 09-13-2012 12:02 PM

You guys made me laugh , rest of the day will be better. hehehe

My son works at Costco. He has shared stories of a returned cake with one slice left and a near empty bottle of wine being returned. How bad could it have been if you consumed nearly all of what you bought. Regardless, Costco does have great products and reasonable prices with an extremely liberal return policy.

rodneym 09-20-2012 10:27 AM

I'm pretty sure Costco doesn't intend on selling any. Just a promotion of sorts. What's gonna pop out at you? A pallet of socks or a shiney Cobra?

An old friend is a manager at a Costo in SoCal. He has all sorts of 'returns' stories. One was an empty bag of ice. Tasted funny. Money refunded.
Costco urban myths maybe? :p

RodKnock 09-20-2012 11:59 AM

I don't shop at Costco. My Rolls doesn't fit in the parking spaces.

... and I just "re-use" my ice. You know, just put the melted cubes back in the freezer and *poof* they're good as new after a while.:JEKYLHYDE

Didn't Kirkham supply bodies to Shelby on the later cars? The first aluminum Shelby cars were made in US.

His car has a CSX4000 number and may indeed have a Kirkham aluminum body ( I think )
