What company
Hello all, I am the happy recipient of my buddy's kit cobra. It came from a manufacturer in Florida that went out of business in the '90s but later bought by another. Does anyone know who they are(were)?? Trying to figure out what I have and what to do about finishing it. Thanks

I Personaly used wilwood for everything. If ur buddy got the hard part done and u didn't pay too much u will make out.

Actually.....circumstances being what they were...his divorce,new wife,moving out of state,blah blah.....told me to go get it. So I actually only paid for a plane ticket out there and to have it shipped which was only 1200. Lucky me huh:3DSMILE:

I would say lucky. Now, no matter what people say about CMC/FiberFab/Street Beast, ECT, the car will be as good as YOU want it to be. Most of the issues was shoddy business and such, some fitment issues.
What paperwork did you get with it? I.E., did you get the MSO, receipts for all of the parts that were put into it so far, ect. You might need all of that, or maybe not, depends on where you live. |
Its Streetbeasts. I'm assembling one right now. Its been a bit of work but it's going to rock when it's complete, probably show quality.

There was a company in Florida in the 90s called Classic, not the 94" Classic 427 up North. It sure looks like one of those. I had a manual for one and just sent it to a CC member eyeballcustom in Texas. This was long before Street Beast. From your picture the radiator supports were the same. If it turns out not to be a Streatbeast send eyeballcustom an email. From what I remember it had regular Mustang suspension with the car springs.

I believe Classic (from Florida) & CMC are the same. I.E. CMC= Classic Motor Carriage. |
Once your done personalizing your lucky find the Co.s name is just that, a name.The manual suggests using a mustang pedal assembly complete with the metal surround.Only modifcation we did beyond that was balance bar to run dual Wilwood masters.

I believe foot space is limited on these. For that reason I have seen a number of builders of these go with an automatic. If you are related to big foot, give it some thought.
