Rick is a long time friend and a friend to most anyone that has ever attended Run N Gun. Rick's unselfish nature has made him one of the most dependable people I have ever met. He is always willing to do whatever it takes to get you going even if his own ride is sitting idle waiting on a brake bleed or something.
Rick Lake and a handful of others are the reason I got involved with Run N Gun. When Wayne Turpin, George Anderson and others stepped away from Run N Gun about 9 or 10 years ago Dean Lampe and I agreed to front the event with the help of others such as Rick Lake and Jay Nordstrom. We knew we could count on Rick and Jay for advise when we ran into issues we were not familiar with. That first year there was plenty!
I consider Rick Lake a very good friend and we talk at least once a month about anything and everything. I am sure Rick is just waiting on the right topic to inject his input.

Maybe Rick should weigh in on the "pre-oiler question" thread. :)

I really thought we would shake his tree enough to get him to jump on the thread. I guess I will have to call him....he is probably getting a kick out of this whole thing. Rick if you don't jump on here soon I am going to post your phone number under the caption:
For a Good Time Call Rick Lake at _32-___-___6

I am alive
Thanks to the guys with the nice comments. Also thanks to the guys that like the stick in the eye treatment.
Have new boss(female) that's a mother and lawyer by schooling and want to keep her fathers dealership alive and running. She has blonde hair that is dyed, will not say any more. New working hours are in the 68 per week. This has cut down on my computor time.
I think that we have some great people on this site with the same info and correct answers to questions I have answered over the years. If you follow the KISS idea, it works out about 98% of the time.
I hope this message is in better english structure for some of the very smart people here who need to prove they are above others.
Peroilers, have writen many threads about running one all the time and why. 15 years of abusing a motor in autocross and road racing pulling about 1G saids it all. I like the new recharging valve that has come out and the way it controls the recharge of the tank without damage to motor when running.
Think that covers it. Hope every one has had good holidays. I am around. Rick L.

Sorry if my roast, overshadowed my toast...
As Patrick pointed out, maybe a mod can help RICK LAKE out on that since he's busy.
|
I think he can claim that last post was from an imposter. Does it look like any previous RICK LAKE posting?

Glad that everything is okay with Rick, it's always great to see him and to read his suggestions as they come from his experience. He was a great help to me when I was ordering my ERA, helping with engine choices etc...
