Cobra hire in UK
Hi,
My husband's favourite car is Cobra :) I love this car, too. I decide to hire one for a day, so he can enjoy ride in car of his dreams :) I found only one company in UK - Classic Car Hire Sussex and Hampshire Vintage Wedding Car Hire | Vanilla Classics Does anyone know are there any other companies hiring Cobras in UK? Thank you very much for help. |
I am not aware of any. It is a commonly asked question but for many reasons (insurance etc) it's not one of those cars that hire compaines want to risk on their books. I guess they don't fancy pulling them out of the scenery when enthusiasm ovetakes ability.
Not sure of the make of replica shown on the website, but I've seen better. Good luck with the search. |
Now this really is something special. One of only 30 made by B.R.A. and designed by Gerry Hawkridge (Hawk Cars), this car dates from the time B.R.A (Beribo Replica Automobiles) was owned by John Berry and Peter Ibbotson, but unlike some other BRA Cobras we’ve seen, this one was built to take a Chevrolet 5.1 litre, 350bhp block ! Every detail on this car was designed to produce an exceptional Replica and it certainly wasn’t built with a budget in mind. For example – over 400 hours were spent preparing, fitting and finishing the body, the interior is Connolly leather and most of the running gear is Jaguar derived. Doug Nash 5 speed gearbox, Smiths Instruments, side exhausts in heavy grade stainless steel etc, etc, etc. It’s an incredible car to drive, and certainly not for the faint-hearted!

I know this dosn't answer your question but come to Cape Town and hire one of these for a drive to Cape Point or the winelands - some of the best drives in the world.
