Please post the pictures I asked for so I can properly identify the Cobra for what it is or is not.

I just recently purchased the Cobra and had the opportunity to sell it the next day for a $19,000 profit, but have decided I like it would like to keep it for awhile. After researching Cobras a bit, I have become somewhat familiar with them, and it was my thinking that a forum such as this might be an avenue to learn more about the car from people whose expertise exceeded my own.

If you supply the pictures as requested by mrmustang, you will get the answers you seek.

Well, you know, if you really could snap up a quick $19k on that baby you might want to give it a nice long thought. It's not like there's a shortage of CSX cars around here....

Mark IV 03-18-2013 05:29 PM

No, for real...those are the woodscrews Carroll personally used on all of the cars he finished!

You walked away from a 19K scooby-lick and KEPT the car?

What is it?

Show me the chassis photos, foot-boxes, front and rear suspension, trunk photos.

So far car looks suspect, but the photos should clear things up, really.

patrickt 03-18-2013 05:57 PM

I like it. We have another long standing CC member here, Evan (Real1) that has a CSX car that looks quite similar, to my eye at least.

This car IS NOT a CSX car!!!

1ntCobra 03-18-2013 06:09 PM

Hmm, square frame, odd looking steering wheel/column with floor mounted brake and clutch pedals. Doesn't look like a Shelby or Contemporary Classic.

I wonder if it is an ERA. Probably not, it doesn't have 2 roll bars, like patrickt's car. ;)

I don't know what I'm talking about, but I suspect that it is NOT a Factory Five, a Kirkham nor an AC Iconic Roadster.

Don't think it's an ERA. Don't recognize anything on the chassis and the fuel filler is definitely not ERA.

froggyman 03-18-2013 06:58 PM

Unique Motorcars

I believe it is a Unique Motorcars 427, Compomotice bolt-on wheels, gas filler hose is a tell-all.

I used to own one.

roadrod2000 03-18-2013 07:40 PM

That shot of the front suspension dosn't look like a Unique to me, didn't the early ones use an MG setup? and its certainly not like the newer ones.
