Carroll Shelby Merchandise site
Just tried to order something this weekend and got a "you must call us to order" window message. Got the same again today... tried to call and got a recorded message. This is clearly within their business hours but it says they are closed?!?
Anyone know what is going on?

SAI headquarters now has a gift shop, and it looks like they had a busy weekend with the show. They could be in recovery mode with inventory. Just a thought.

This site seems to be abusing their Shelby relationship. I'll make a contact...
P.S. Shelby American acknowledges the shipping pricing is ridiculous (that's the Shelby store, not this first place). They've got a new guy there that is really trying to rectify that, so if you think it's wrong call the store and ask for Jer, he might be able to fix it. But do remember that all of the UPS, FedEx, etc. have figured out their costs and raised prices accordingly. $176 to ship a tshirt is not a fedex cost in any part of the universe. They are a ripoff.

Maybe you just need to buy a bunch of them and split the $25 shipping cost over a bunch of shirts.  
Plus that way you will be spending so much on shirts that the shipping will seem cheap by comparison. 
Agree they need a cheap USPS option.

In my experience I'd have to agree that US shipping charges are ridiculous.
EG:
Anywhere from $300-$600 to ship a bicycle from the US to Aus.
Comparative rates: from Europe $80-$120, from Asia $50-$80 (fair enough its closer), Africa $100-$150
I get the same across the board on all items.
My FinishLine purchases cost me more in postage charges than the sum total of the parts.  |

That's just one of the problems with the USA now, we are killing are market by charging shipping rates this high, it makes me not even want to buy USA because even I can get it cheaper from farther away because of cheaper shipping...

I rarely see high postage here from reputable retailers. Usually it is a flat rate or free now...
Rates like that speak to shady operations to me. |

I wanted to buy a distributor gear from Streetside, $85 postage to Australia.
Summit racing was only $36.
I bought something from China through Fleebay, A 1 dollar item, free postage.
?
I checked out a item through Shelby, A gear knob, And only $3.50 postage.
