Christmas day drive
After all of the planning and decoration. All the buying and general turmoil that is the Holiday Season, I was unexpectedly handed and hour of “me time” as the day wound down. The GF and in-laws laid in a near vegetative state in the living room with glassy slits for eyes. I grabbed a Cigar from the humidor and headed for the garage. With a freshly lit smoke clenched firmly in my teeth, I turned the key and listened for all the sounds. The whine of the fuel pump filling the lines, the “click and woosh” of the accusump doing its thing. With the motor warmed and happy, I headed out. I didn’t have long, but I had enough.
It was warm and sunny with almost nobody on the road, truly a great time to be out in a Cobra. I few moments of complete and joyous immersion in the sights, sounds and smells that make me smile.
