Taking Your Rabbit For A Ride In Your Cobra

I can't remember if this is Abbott or Costello, or maybe it was, Fred and Ginger. Heck, they could be Alex (Rodriguez) and Brian (Cashman), though neither of them have displayed any hip issues .

Anyway, they both absolutely love my Cobra. I know they would love to go for a ride in it. I've looked on the web for rabbit seat harnesses, but I thought I would post a note here. They weigh about 1-2 lbs each and they definitely have very short legs. Anyone out there take their rabbit for a ride?

If you really love your rabbit, you'll leave her at home. She will slip right out of her harness, just like scampering through a briar patch. If she's asking to go for a ride, then it's a trick. Just like asking not to be thrown in to the briar patch. Yessirreee, if you put her in that car, then it'll be hare today, gone tomorrow.:(

Here's Alex and Brian now. Brian, the Yankees GM, is the fat one on the right. They love rides in the Cobra.

Only when he talks about Alex on Twitter.

While I can always use their carrier, I know they would like to feel their fur blow around in the wind. Any thoughts on a harness that would allow them to see above the dash and door without fear of them jumping out of my Cobra?

FWB 07-02-2013 05:58 PM

Velcro ..........................

Don't think I'll be taking a rabbit out in the Cobra. But a Bunny - well that's different.

It should be a hare raising experience. :p

Where are you going to find some ear plugs to fit those ears?

I won't go very fast; just around town a little bit with Alex and Brian. I was trying to start the Cobra up Sunday, uh, in the garage, but the battery needed to be charged, and the rabbits just went nuts listening to me cranking the engine and draining the battery further. However, I wasn't able to start the car. The rabbits know my Cobra is a toy, one that rarely gets driven, but they definitely want in on the fun. Someday when it leaves the garage. And the rabbits and I will use the restroom before we go for a ride. I know I always do.
