What's Her Name?

So many people have "PET" Names for their cars ie. Elenor etc. I was just wondering what some of you call their cars and why?

I really need to come up with a name for my Superformance and am struggling here.

I don't have one -- but my local club member DCDoug refers to his CSX car as Christine... as in Stephen King.

Years ago I knew a young couple who named virtually everything they owned. Giving personalities to inanimate objects never struck a chord with me, so the only non-human my wife and I had named was her dog, Douglas. So, when my friends asked me the name of my car, I put on my best straight face and said "Douglas. My motorcycle is also named Douglas. In fact, everything I own is named Douglas. .... It keeps things simple."

I call my Cobra, "the Cobra." You're welcome to use that or Douglas if you prefer.

My Cobra is red and my wife has always referred to her as my Red Headed Mistress. I think that it's a most appropriate name. :D

No that would be my CSX Cobra. Mine is the original "Christine" other than the one in the movie. Her names been Christine for 10 years now. She is evil and has actually manifested it with people she does not like and that talk ill of her. Burned the wife more than once, another time tore her dress (got caught on door latch) another time got caught in the rain with my wife in the car when it wasn't supposed to rain, almost hit her once when she was walking in front of the car as I turned the key and forgot to push in the clutch and never fails to make her smell like exhaust so she named her Christine. She thinks the car has it in for her. Wife not happy with Christine. She thinks the car is possessed. The car loves me though. ;)

She earned the name "Christine" during a recent 7 month repair for which we pulled the drivetrain to make a few upgrades. She fought everything the whole way like a car possessed. You'd think the drivetrain we pulled out was from a different car the way it went back in. It was bad enough that the local club member at who's house Christine was residing and who is pretty patient and experienced, threatened to roll it into the driveway and set it on fire.....and that wasn't said with a wink and a smile...%/

However, if you don't take her apart, she's got good manners (for a cobra) and runs well.

I'll be sure not to introduce her to Evan's Christine to keep her from getting ideas.

Doug: to think my Chritine has spawn is scary. I say keep them separated!

My good friend has an uncle that just numbered his cats. The last time I talked to him, his cats name was #7.
