Another voltmeter vs. ammeter thread
I understand the safety advantages of a voltmeter vs. an ammeter. I'm probably going with a 70A alternator (slight bump over the "standard" 60A one), and ERA tells me my wiring and ammeter can handle it. Still, I'm thinking of replacing my ammeter with this voltmeter: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/sw...FWXZQgodkmwANQ because it's generally safer and pretty easy to wire at this point, with the dash off and engine out. I would wire it in such a way that would enable me to use a larger alternator in the future.
How many of you have actually switched to a voltmeter? Is this worth the effort and cost (not much, maybe $70 total) or is the ammeter a non-issue?
