Just as you guys are getting ready to hibernate through the winter months, down here in Oz we're gearing up for summer.

Even the swans are lining up for a wave at Kirra on Queensland's Gold Coast.

This is someting different!

After the storms that Texas endured a few weeks ago, any price is a good price to ship your car and yourselves over here!

I think the swans showed the surfers a lesson; that its possible for 3 people (or swans) to surf the same wave without an issue...

As with any climate it takes a certain type of person to live there. No way could a true Northernor put up with the heat you people living nearer the equator live with. Never been to the land down under have been to Texas and that gets a WOW! it gets some hot there.

You might have to put it on your bucket list then -- you could be pleasantly surprised.

Just try to avoid the sticky heat of our summer months (Dec to Feb) if you're not used to hot weather. As you say, every country has its extremes and if you're travelling you plan around those times.

One of your countrymen recently visited down here and was shown around by one of our Sydney club members. I think it's fair to say he had a good time!
