Default How to finish roll bar

I just purchased a used factory SPF roll bar to have finished in the color black to swap out the chrome unit. I'm just going for a new look. Which is the better finish, powder coating or ceramic coating? What was the factory finish for the SPF roll bars? Also any opinions such as satin, gloss, etc.? Without running out to the garage, I would say my quick jacks are a satin black and the pipes are flat to satin. My car is royal blue with wimbleton white stripes so any of you with similar cars with black roll bars I welcome your pics!! Thanks!!

Powder coat. Ceramic coat is for high temp applications like your side pipes and headers. I'd go with a satin finish, but it's up to you.

I think I would agree with Tim, especially if your quick jacks and other stuff is satin. Also on the powder coating as that won't take the heat as well as the ceramic. In fact if your pipes are a kind of dull satin color that may be the reason. They may have been a bright satin black before the heat started dulling them a little.

Satin finish to match your pipes and quick jacks.

Powder coating is more cost effective and should be about as durable for a roll bar application.
