Original Car Question

Today I learned that the original bodies were wrapped around tubes behind the seat and in front of the dash. Now I know why people always want the edges rolled. Did they roll the edges after the body was installed?

As the body was being fit to the chassis, the edges were rolled around the tube structure and riveted into place.
