Nah, that's not it either. I should have called BS on the word "skills." Yep, that's it. No way you have skills. :3DSMILE:

And you are right. The gym does have a lot of people who causally do all sorts of exercises. The upside is that they usually clear out and stop going to the gym once they've violated their New Years' resolutions. That's usually around January 15th, but there are usually a few stragglers who make it to February 1st.

BTW, aren't you being a bit presumptuous with the Superman t-shirt. :p

Is this the story you used with the wife?

If so and it worked, perhaps I will use it.

LA

Bernica 01-08-2014 01:22 PM

Sounds familiar.

wife: "what's that new thing?"
me: "It's just part of the car, I just cleaned it up"
wife: "no it's not, that looks new. Where did it come from? What did you buy now?"
me: "It's complicated, I got a good deal. But trust me, we need this."
wife: "And are those new golf clubs?"
me: "no, I just put new head covers on them and got a new bag"
wife: "then who's clubs are those over in the corner?"
me: "uhhh, I'm actually selling those (tried the "it's complicated" again)
wife: "get your own damn dinner tonight. I hate this car!"

29 years, she knows me like a book.;)

Dimis 01-09-2014 02:18 AM

Large - you're welcome to the story, particularly if you think it will work for you.

Truth is like Bernica. My wife can see straight through me.
So I just tell her, then at least I still get dinner. ;)

So all week I've been jogging through parks kicking up stones, looking behind trees, shrubs and vegetation, hoping to find something else, and what do you think I found?

NOTHING!!! NOT A SINGLE THING!!! :(

Dejected, I visit the local grocery store to buy myself a well earned drink. On the way out, I notice an old lady struggling with her groceries. So as you do, I offered to lend her a hand.

Normally, when I approach old ladies they smack me over the head with their hand bag. I think this is where casually jogging with a pram helps :)

Anyway after loading her goodies into the back of her car she turns to me and says. "My dear boy, you've been so kind, if you don't mind helping me with just one more thing I'd be very greatful."

"Gladly. What is it I can do for you?" I respond.

Old lady - "Could you please take this piece of steel out of my boot and dispose of it as you wish. My husband put it in there before he did his back and it's too heavy for either of us to remove.

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/data/500/image77.jpg

She then goes on to tell me it's SCAT, stroked and forged... But I don't know what any of this means.

I happily remove it for her and suggest to her it might be worth a pretty penny, and that I would list it here on CC to sell, and forward her the proceeds. She refused, and INSISTED I JUST take it, particularly as her husband no longer had any need for it.

So how could I refuse? :)

Moral of the story: Rodknock - YOU'RE RIGHT AGAIN!
I have NO skills. I couldn't find anything else in the park :o

Dimis a WARNING; you are quickly zooming up the BS Meter and will soon be at Patrick level.
Especially when you have to 'find' the 32 valve keepers and the cam and main bearing shells.....

To improve your chances of finding more FE parts, you might want to purchase a metal detector and head to the beaches. If all else fails, then you'll probably find some loose change.

Bernica 01-09-2014 10:42 AM

DIMIS, you should have followed that old lady home to see what else she might need help with!

Mando 01-09-2014 02:43 PM

Fu#k that must have been a long jog!

Regards.

Just on that... Why do you suppose Father Christmas is so jolly?
Is it because he knows where all the naughty girls live?
Ho! Ho! Ho!

Just sayin'

Daylight savings got me...
My alarm clock rang a little louder this morning.

Dimis,
Jogging? If you were walking, then you would have been going slow enough to 'find' the rest of the build ;)

Have you seen me jog?
I'm not as fast as I used to be.
Don't let the superman get up fool you.

RodKnock 08-13-2014 05:45 PM

Rodney, here's Dimis in a recent GNC commercial. You'll see he doesn't set any land speed records when "exercising":

rodneym 08-13-2014 06:14 PM

If that's the case, then 'finding' the intake makes more sense.

REAL 1 08-14-2014 06:07 AM

Dimis: I heard NYG is now jogging through Central Park having just read this thread. Stay tuned.
