In the park I found...

So I was casually jogging in the park one morning, minding my own business, when I noticed what looked like a dead body hiding in the shrubs.
My forensic skills that I learnt watching CSI then kicked in and I went to investigate... This is what I uncovered.

Any guesses what it is?
I wonder if it fits to use in a cobra build...?

It's a Tunnel Wedge intake for FE. Either a Ford or Dove repro.
That's a $700+ manifold if it's uncut.
Amazing story. Keep looking in that park for the rest of the SO...

dallas_ 01-04-2014 01:32 PM

Nice find. Maybe I need to take up jogging.

Bernica 01-04-2014 01:52 PM

Does it have Ford casting numbers? Can't tell by the pic. Nice find!

Wow Anthony,

You found that in the scrub???

Why would anybody throw that out???

Good find for you. :)

blown871 01-04-2014 03:17 PM

looks like junk.
put it in a box and mail it to me. I know how to properly dispose of.

I would 'do that' 'for YOU'.

RodKnock 01-04-2014 03:59 PM

I call BS. Who "casually" jogs? Never heard of such a thing.

Yep, worthless junk. Throw it in with the beer cans, have it recycled and do your part to save the planet.;)

blykins 01-04-2014 05:22 PM

What a coincidence...I was jogging and found this in the weeds.

Liar! You can't jog pushing a stroller!
Shelbys, Ponds or BTs??

Bernica 01-04-2014 06:17 PM

Found this in the weeds too. Can't find a casting number, but pretty sure it will fit a Cobra:cool:

Sorry, pic didn't upload. Still trying to figure out the year....

MRGEORGE077 01-04-2014 06:53 PM

Going jogging first thing in the morning, will let you know what I find.:)

RodKnock 01-04-2014 07:16 PM

I'll be in the gym tomorrow morning, maybe I'll find something behind the wall cushions.

Legless 01-04-2014 10:17 PM

Thats nuthin. I found a complete FE at the garbage tip once, but it was 30 years ago and only a 332 Y block, but I pulled the heads off and used them in my ski boat.

Experts tell me it's a genuine NOS Ford piece "C8AX-9424-A".

Very funny! Shoot me your address and I'll see what I can do.
Don't hold your breath, you'll have to fight it out with UNDY.
Besides, I jogged through a lot of parks and looked under a lot of rocks to find his one

Dear Rodknock, if I didn't like you so much, I'd be offended at you calling BS. Let me tell you "casual jogging" is what us pretend untalented athletes, aka "posers" do to pick up chicks :)
You might have noticed some of us at the gym you frequent.
NOW, if you had called BS on me watching CSI - then you'd be well within your rights :p Who has time to watch tv?

Chas, you're mistaken.
Ill stick up for Brent here and say it's quite possible.
I jog with my stroller most all the time. :)
Here's a family photo at "Run for the Kids"

http://www.clubcobra.com/photopost/data/500/image75.jpg

I'll even hazard a guess that those heads Brent posted are Ponds

I'll see what I can find in the next park I go casually jogging in. :)
