Hey rustyBob, yep, I tried them first, a year or so ago, I have 15x8,s on the front and the tires are just outside the flair. With brakes moving the wheels out another inch, would just be too much.
Thank you, Byron

OK what about contacting Stockton Wheel in Stockton Calif. and ask them to take an inch out of the outer side of the hoop and weld and chrome/polish the wheels.

hi rustyBob,
I have 2.25-60x15's. The very last, outside tread groove is just even with the outside lip of the flare with the rest or shoulder of the tire outside the well.

mine are 235/60-15s on a 7 inch rim........a 7 inch rim would help you a lot.
i wuold try Stockton Wheel they could make those rims into 7 inchers........
or you might try replaceing your upper and lower control arms with the one inch narrower arms...........that could get spendy........or do both.........

I will check with Stocton. The problem I have had is that the wheels are steel rims and aluminum centers. Thank you for the information and I will check them out.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year !!

rustyBob,
You are correct, the backspacing on the 8inch wheels contributes to the problem a lot. But, if The backspacing was any greater, there would be interference on the inside. My only choice is leave it alone, narrower wheels or have these narrowed. I will let you know what Stockton Wheel says.
Thanks, Byron

rustyBob,
Stocton said they can re-rim the wheels for $145.00 each. I may go that route after the first of the year. Thanks for the advice.
Merry Christmas ~!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cool deal.......glad i could help and $145.00 sounds like the price for a new wheel but it has to be cheaper than 4 new wheels.......
Merry Christmas to you and your family and have a prosporus New Year.
