Great video. Interesting comment on the weight of the all aluminum 427w. Someone went through all of that elsewhere (iron block vs. alu) claiming the weight savings was about 30 lbs, apparently 100 lbs is more like it.

Is that 100lbs saving over stroked 427 small block or the Big block FE 427 ???

I believe the way it was put is that the alu 427w weighs about 100 lbs less than the same motor in steel. No way to know for sure if he was talking about an iron 427w or BB FE 427. If he was being absolutely correct then iron 427w.

You save almost 50 alone going with aluminum Windsor heads so I can believe an ally block would be at least another 50 over iron.

From our own scale here at Panavia -- it is 105Lbs config to config weight delta in Iron 427W to Alum ( Dart ) config - BTW: an LS7 427 is a further weight reduction...

That's my favorite color for a Cobra, I believe it's Portofino blue, it looks so rich on a 427fe car...

Beautiful car. The fender flares just take the body shape over the top. Love it.

Interesting. I think the add-on flares detract from the body lines. To each his own.

I like the flares assuming they are part of Pete Brock's re-engineering effort, I would think so being invited and shown at Pebble Beach - the pedigree must have been there. I also noticed the inward 1/4 rear flares are part of the doors, that's a new twist I think. The build looks meticulous and an awesome car by any standard.

Steve,
Thanks for posting, great video!
A Brock Coupe taken to a whole new level. Nice work on Bruce’s car … and some air time with Jay at the end, nicely done! Congrats to you and the team at Panavia.
