Default Who's The Maker?

Long time lurker first time poster, now that I have a Cobra to post about!

After longing for a Cobra since I was knee high to a grasshopper, I bought one about 2 months ago. I don't know the maker of the kit and was hoping someone might be able to identify it.

I got a huge folder with a receipt from every nut, bolt, clamp, washer, gauge, seat, wheel and part on the car EXCEPT for the body, frame and driveline (how convenient).

I don't have a picture of the frame, but if it helps, it appears to be about 2x4" boxed steel. The footwells seem bigger & longer than others that I have driven. It does have a heater. Build was started in 1994, registered in Maryland in 1998.

Driveline is a 429 ThunderJet, 4 speed toploader, 9" Ford w/3.40 gears.

Great forum, I look forward to getting to know who y'all are!!

I think you are going to need to add a couple pictures of the engine compartment and the front suspension at least, if not of the underside to pin the manufacturer down.

Is it standard wheelbase - 90 inches? The rear wheel fender flare might be a clue to someoe.

Congratulations

Looks like the steering column has the ignition switch in it if that helps. Kit Cobra using donor parts? Agree pics of engine compartment and front suspension will help to identify which kit it is.

Wheelbase measures exactly 90".

Took some detail photos of the frame, suspension (Mustang II I believe), firewall & crossmember.

Looks like a North American Fiberglass out of Arizona. The flare and lip on the rear fenders is a little different and the trunk lid where the license light is, but the chassis looks right. I believed they changed their mold prior to 89 but not sure exactly when. My body was made in 1989.

I tend to agree with Paul, from the looks of the chassis.
Pull the bottom of the seat of, if you can and shoot a picture.

Seat is one piece, nothing underneath it but carpet.

Friend of mine was thinking All American Classics, who is no longer in business.

Surprising that any manufacturer wouldn't put identifying marks somewhere, for the point of advertising if nothing else.

Mine has small labels glassed into the body at the lower forward front outside of the drivers footwell, forward inside on the trans tunnel, at the drivers side cowl area and top of the intake area.
