Why would this FE unit not fit on a SBF
Everything looks the same????

too bad
Its a nice unit for a good price. I wonder how far off it is. Maybe just elongate the holes and it will fit ???????

The holes are mirror backwards. On a Windsor, the passenger side hole is higher, on the FE, the driver's side hole is higher.

This should be very easy to resolve with a flat, square, adaptor plate that has both bolt paterns if there is clearance for the square plate. Through-bolt the tank flange to the adapter plate, then bolt the adapter plate to the engine. Gasket both sides.

It would depend on the car and radiator design but for an ERA the radiator hose connection is on the wrong side also.

why not use the FE-like header tank that fits small blocks from Finishline?
