Nice sound!!. Were those turnouts new from your recent exhaust mod. They seem Black already [if so]. I can barley get mine to color at about 75 miles. Just an observation.
Have fun rgnbull 1227. |
As soon as youtube is done processing my video of the car while driving, I will post that as well.

Queston On Your Exhaust
I've been considering going to Classic Chambered Exhausts. My current exhaust is ok but just a bit "mellow". What exhaust did you have before and would you say the new exhaust has a "deeper/ throatier" sounds. Also, what engine do you have? I really like the sound on your video but couldn't watch the driving video. How are they out on the highway?

Here is a "Before" Video. I had the factory SPF Pipes on. Most said they liked the sound. It was very nice but I wanted more. The idle with the SPF Pipes was just way too muffled. Definitely "Mellow" as you stated. Now it sounds like its supposed to. Definitely Deeper and Throatier.

Please check your motor mounts, are they the urethane from Oltoff? the pipe seams to move a lot, are you hammering the bottom side of your passenger side pipe opening? The stock mounts aren't good for a V6. As far as the pipes nice!
|
Good sound. Better as with the former pipes.
Can you share us some specs. regarding the engine? |
Funny you should say that. On that drive yesterday, I got on it pretty good for 3 gears. Didnt redline it but was definitely on it. After that, I noticed a "Buzzing Vibration" between 2000-2200 RPMS. In gear, clutch in, neutral etc. Whenever the engine was in the RPM Range, I had that "Buzzing Vibration. First thing on my list to check is the engine mounts.

Boy, what I wouldn't give to have a road like that to drive!! Curves and hills ! All I've got is traffic and stop lights!!
|
This is a pretty boring road, but its close to my home and good for a quick fix on chilly days. My father lives in Cape Coral and I have an office in Miami so I know what you mean by the roads by you. No fun!

Hi,
i can certainly recommend Classic Chambered pipes, i ordered mine off Eric of Classic Chambered for my Southern Roadcraft Cobra over here in the UK a couple of years ago when i converted it from an underslung system to sidepipes. I went for the 24inch long, 4inch diameter, but unpacked and it certainly transformed my Cobra i`am never to sure if its to loud and aggressive now, but i have to admit i love the roar of it and you get a lot more looks than i did before, I built mine using V-Band connectors so it would`nt be to much effort to get a set of packed pipes and weld the connections on so i can fit them to my merge collectors if i wanted a quieter cruise day. I think though yours Rgnbull1227 sounds great, very nice Cobra, and like you say i can recommend them as i have to a few in the UKCobra club over here in England, Gary.[ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EnnwUhbSpos]Sidepipes1ststartup 1) - YouTube[/ame] |
