Our Cobras are a pretty light vehicle compared to a lot of other cars that would use the same tires and sizes, so what may me too soft a sidewall for a Mustang to handle the twisteys isn't too soft for the Cobra which is probably 1000 or more pounds lighter overall. So in my case the ET's work fine on the front. Like I said earlier the Goodyear BB's were terrible tire on my car but others would disagree. I really liked the improvement switching to the ET, from a bias ply tire to a radial. My next move will be to the ST , a true street tire to compare the stiffer sidewall and see how the handling changes. I have no interest in the SR although I have heard good things said about their performance.

I have a set of SR's in storage, they were ok but I didn't really like them. They didn't do so well in the corners for me. I then went to Hoosier billboards which griped great but didn't balance well. In the end they wern't right for me either, and they; like goodyear bilboards & G-7's are not DOT approved. I like the looks of the ET radials & the fact that some above, like them all the way around for strip use & corners as well. Even with some road dampness. With the lighter AC weight; they may make good all around use. In the twisties, they mabe as good as the SR's or S/T's. In the end I went with the S/T's. While I only have about 400 miles on them. I am quite pleased with them, for comfort & overall handling. Performing a laymen's ck of the rubber compund of both SR's & S/T's I think the S/T's are softer. But that could be because the SR's have 4000+ mi. & the S/T's have 400+ miles. IMO the S/T's perform much better overall of the two. I will know for sure when the S/T's have 4000+ miles. If they make it that far! The S/T's are also only rated for about 110+ mph for 1 hour. But for quick romps up to 140/150 mph or some simi hard twisties they perform great. So far! I'll report back after 1000 mi. or so.
