Modern hi-tech simulators are very interesting. Had a chance to sit in a F1 simulator at theTexas race. Also military simulators for fighter combat is unreal.

Too many factors while racing that a simulator can never duplicate. I think for F1 the best use is learning the race course if unfamiliar with one.

On my way back from Australia/Moorea while my crew was sleeping I had the chance to write a piece called Need For Speed. I wanted to publish it before a fake movie with the same title was released. Never had the chance to go over it and it is in a very rough form. I type fast so I can put the details down before I forget them while writing. So it is not polished and certainly not proofread. Interesting history and lifelong quest for that need for speed.

Otis Chandler along with Collier(REVS Institute/Naples,Florida) are/were big Porsche guys. I was just into other makes. But I did make several purchases before the Goodings auction. Took several game specimens and displays with unique models. I don't know the only Porsche left for the auction was his silver carrera gt, that may say something. I think his 917's were the ones to see. Had the chance to race them a few times at Riverside. Otis Chandler's museum use to be located in the same building now occupied by Mullin Museum in Oxnard.

Otis Chandler Museum of Transportation & Wildlife.

And oh Otis did have a sweet 427 that is in video. It shows up before the two minute mark and later with the hood open.:3DSMILE:
