And that's including all of the spares......Diff,Wheels,Rotors & Pads, Cluthes and many other items.....

I'm having a hard time with feeling in my feet.....makes driving KMP259 a real chore....it needs someone to take it to the next level......maybe soon.....

A steal considering the quality of construction and parts used, duplicating it would be very difficult and cost prohibitive.

Cheers!

Thanks......After testing everything ....the Aero package works Great....and we were able to get around Elkhart Lake with a neutral handling car....and Fly thru the Kink on the back side of the course.....it's a real kick in the rear.....I still get a smile on my face when I talk about it.....:):)

Bruce

We appreciate the builds we all go thru....but I'm sure some just don't care.....or understand the efforts that go into these cars.....

I can't fathom how much money and time you have gone thru with your Cobra and stayed with it for a long time......good for you....it truly is a labor of love....

No I'm never on ebay. Just a few sites and I usually put in a dollar range that would exclude most of these non original cobras.

Guys once I saw the picture I knew what it was. I guess it's attention to detail and being literal at times. And no it does not piss me off really sort of a fly in the room buzzing around that you can't swat.

Looks like a nice Kirkham though. Have to laugh at better than a continuation. Had a rebuilt car once and the builder stated it was better than new. One of the biggest pile of useless metal muscle I have ever owned.

There were 3 shiny used Kirkham Cobras listed on ebay. None sold. 2 have been re-listed.

It's even worse in Germany. They make you believe that SPF Cobras, while somehow authorized by Ol' Shel because after sueing each other they actually struck a deal, are Real Shelby Cobras. 60s models, of course.

Yes, I know, CSX4000 cars are also built there in St. Albans, SA, or are they?

NO WHERE IS THERE A KIRKHAM, REPLICA, OR CONTINUATION IN THE TITLE!!!

This is why guys should be descriptive of what they have and not just post Cobra in a for sale ad.

What the hell is this Cobra anyway? Obviously reading it it is built by Kirkham. Oh it was built by a celebrity CEO or do you mean for one.

Built above a CSX continuation cobra standards....

Nice looking Kirkham.....I guess but not a 1965 Shelby Cobra as title states.

Wasting time reading that when in a rush...wasting time writing this...wasting your time reading this.

I'm sorry, but I fail to understand why people are getting so hot under the collar over this. No one is going to buy it having only read the title and the text clearly states what it actually is.

Waste of energy!

Jamo 06-17-2014 03:14 PM

Hmmmm...damn near as much as posting that it is, me thinks. :p

SKINNEDR 06-18-2014 05:05 AM

I totally agree!
I wasted my own time...
First thing you said correctly this year..

Jamo 06-18-2014 05:32 AM

Well, thanks for your participation these past couple of days. :)

PatBuckley 06-18-2014 01:25 PM

If it isn't a car built by Shelby then it is a copy.

Then or now and all the years in between. Period.

Evan is correct, the rest of you are just full of sour grapes because you can't afford a real one.

I have owned a kit (ERA535) and a copy (KMP185) and actually felt better about driving the kit, it felt a lot more honest than a car that was such an obvious copy.

Then again, I love golf, a sport for those of us who are coordinated and built more athletically and who prefer to get out there and participate rather than sit on the couch and watch or pontificate from the safety of a keyboard.

I'm sure you are not including the AC Cobras completed by AC Cars Ltd in the 60's that were sold to customers outside the USA as being copies, right?

REAL 1 06-18-2014 02:19 PM

No I think that was likely an oversight but I let him clarify.

In the end the SAAC Registry sets it all out clearly, distinctly and with explanation. It is the authoritative position. However, for those that don't like facts, law and authoritative sources clouding personal opinion there is the CC peanut gallery position.

I'll ignore the copy, clone, replication, recreation, reproduction, geniune, real, original nonsense, but "golf is a sport for those of us who are coordinated and built more athletically and who prefer to get out there and participate rather than sit on the couch and watch or pontificate from the safety of a keyboard"?

Someone is pontificating that golf is a sport and for those who are built more athletically. Have you been to golf course? Really?

Walking, swinging a golf club and driving a golf cart around while drinking beer for 18 holes is definitely a sport for the athletically coordinated and "built."

I think this statement is weird. As a Kirkham owner, he felt less honest? **)

lovehamr 06-18-2014 03:07 PM

Well, he also galled the GAME of golf a sport so............:JEKYLHYDE

My apologies to Evan and A-Snake, I should have been more specific.

RodKnock - After I stopped racing cars, I needed something challenging to do and discovered golf to be extremely challenging. I play about 5 times a week.

Oh, please stop putting words in my mouth. I think it is weird that you can't read something and understand it!:JEKYLHYDE

I do realize that we aren't all cut out of the same cloth, feel free to pursue whatever activities that appeal to you.....

Looks more like just a bunch of guys pontificating and trying to make what they own more valuable. Real - fake - clone - as Hillary would say "What difference at this point does it make?”

They are cars and as such meant to be driven and enjoyed. Standing in the parking lot looking at your car as you pull on your pecker and discuss pedigree is crazy. Get in the thing and drive %/

It had nothing to do "honesty" I'm sure. There is a stark difference between opinion and honesty. He had his opinion way back when and now sees it the way he sees it I guess.

Could be he now concurs with the Registry. Certainly on sound ground with that.
