Details man! Details!
Congrats and best of luck with it.

Ps. Sweet colour choice too.

kevins2 01-02-2015 02:17 PM

Beautiful car Gary. I started out with two breather caps on my pentroof valve covers like I see in your photo and had a little oil spitting out. Replaced one of the breathers with a PCV valve and no more spitting. Easy solution if you experience the same thing.

Enjoy the build!

Kevin

Really nice looking. You are making fantastic progress. It will be flying down the road in no time.

ICBomber90 01-03-2015 07:22 AM

Wow! Simply a work of art.

ZOERA-SC7XX 01-03-2015 07:22 AM

Great build, you cannot go wrong with ERA. And the Guardsman blue paint is always nice on the 427 Cobra...good luck, you should have a lifetime of pleasure with this car.

Did you have Keith indicate the bell housing for you?

GaryT 01-03-2015 09:22 PM

Yes, I bought the QT bell housing from him and they indexed it.

GaryT 02-04-2015 07:49 AM

I'm getting close, the car is now running and i made a few laps around the neighborhood. I just need to finish up the trans tunnel and a few small things and I will be ready to start the registration process.

Wow. You got through that kit in no time. I did it in 10 mo and thought I was fast.

I think he built it faster than ERA built mine.

frankym 02-04-2015 02:03 PM

Hey Gary, just sent you a message, not sure if I did it correctly.

buddyg 02-04-2015 02:57 PM

Awesome, sounds wicked!

DanEC 02-04-2015 05:39 PM

Well - that was entirely too uneventful. Turn the key and it runs. Someday you are going to feel short-changed of the classic first start up turmoil of the distributor 180 degrees out or timed on the wrong cylinder (timed it like a Chevy) or plub wires crossed or . . . :p

Sounds nice - congratulations. :)
