I was at the gallery last night for the exhibition. I can tell you they were beautiful pieces. The one of the cobra shown was the best in my view, but he had a nice one of a GT40 in gulf colors that was great as well. The run about $2k each

It appears that the artist, who obviously knows something about the cars, drew inspiration more from one of the replicas than the actual shelby! I dig the GT picture.

Camilo is an interesting guy. He was on the design team for the Ford GT. Several years ago at Carlisle I had the Backdraft GT on display and they asked me to bring it over to the GT gathering. Next thing I know "a guy" says he wants to drive the car... which is a little forward but I stalled him. Few minutes later he is signing GTs (the actual cars) so there's the lightbulb.

We went for a spin about 45 minutes and got some great stories about the GT, why there was no Daytona after it, and doing business with Mr. Shelby.
