Default 6000 Series Cobra Fed Auction

I know that this was posted before, but I couldn't find the thread to reply there.
Feds auctioning off this Cobra located in Vegas. So far, one bid.
And no, I am not bidding. Just wanted to pass it on.

With a bid deposit of 9900 and guessing that they want a 10% down that puts the reserve at 99000. It wouldn't be a bad price for a CSX6000 car but there are just too many unknowns, including title restrictions that are mentioned now on the ad. They don't even say if you get a clear title. Run, do not walk, from this one.

I agree completely with you. Just to many maybes and unknowns about this car. And no guarantee that you can even look at it before bidding and then if you did buy it, no real guarantee that you will ever be able to take possession of it.

Knowing the government these days, they would probably have an officer sitting on the entrance road to where you pick up the car. On your way in, they will pull you over and confiscate your money under the guise of drug money or some BS.

$9900 deposit. Just under the $10k dollar amount the IRS hassles you about.

Hey, the thug that owned it previously had to keep one hand on the wheel and the other on his Glock.

If I am reading it right, it looks like the hammer went down at around $78k. Can't say if that was a good deal or not, but sounds like it for somebody.

Ron:

I've bid on some items in these GSA sales before and so far, one could go to the storage sight and inspect all items up for bid with no problems....they even let me start/test a couple of big diesel generators I was interested in....

Autos usually come with a title and bill of sale unless otherwise noted....I've seen a few autos that were up for sale that were for "Offroad Use Only" and each one had it in big bold type so everyone bidding knew exactly what they were getting into.....

Some of these GSA auctions are a steal, some items go for big money like in any other auction....you never know till you bid......
