Good deal, NYG.
Here's your chance...

RodKnock 12-05-2014 12:14 PM

Considering what I've read about on the CSX fiberglass in another thread, I'd be very hesitant to buy a fiberglass CSX, especially w/o personally checking it out.

Anyway, Rodney, I'm pretty sure NYG wants a "real" aluminum CSX for $50,000 or less.

With an all aluminum side oiler, this car is way under priced.

Unless "Real One" was wrong!

I think Real One was referring to the aluminum CSX market, but I could be wrong. He was saying that his car's value was $240,000 or thereabouts based upon his replacement cost.

Bernica 12-05-2014 02:40 PM

Under priced. So, what is he not telling us about the car?
He also reserves the right to pull it any time. Just fishing?

I'm always leery of $100K cars being sold through the poor, slightly out of focus lens of a cell phone.

Agreed. Interestingly, I found this car listed a number of places, including this one where it is listed at $75,500!

Huh?

stephen_becker 12-06-2014 10:24 AM

You have to inspect every used CSX car just like you would do on any used car period. There are good ones, there are bad ones and then there are just really bad ones!

That one has 560hp, way too much power for nyg.

It seems like a decent deal at $95 though.

Thank you for stating the obvious. Now, go read the entire "wiggly CSX fiberglass" thread.

Gone for just a couple months and already talking about me?

Wrong? Moi? hardly.

Just like Becker says the Continuation cars are no different than any other car in that there are great ones, good ones, bad ones and terrible ones. Same with the original series.

I can't comment on the car in question as I have never seen it and don't know that much about it. However, if the car was completed by HRE it is probably a very nice car. HRE is one of the best.

Nice car! Obviously, I like the color. And hey! That looks like one of mine and Mickmate's air filter setups on it! Well, no wonder the reserve isn't met!:D

rodneym 12-11-2014 05:06 PM

I didn't realize in my first post that it's a SB.
That'll certainly hurt.

And not a top notch one at that. Yep, engine replacement needed. $20,000 +/-. Probably more.

Bernica 12-11-2014 05:46 PM

Yup, for me I just see engine and trans replacement to go back to old school.
