Looking for my first cobra. Whats this?
Hi,
Im looking to buy my first cobra so this is my first post. I dont want to build and entire it but I am not afraid of a little work. I came across this ad it is not sold and the owner states he has no idea who the manufacturer is. I think this is a great price point and was wondering of anyone could offer any additional information on this car or its maker.
Thanks
John

Look in some of the listings for Cobras for sale and you can get a good idea of what your price range will buy you. Most Cobra sites have a Classified section where people list their cars for sale and Cobra Country is a good place to look also. Good luck and I hope that you find what you want soon.
Ron :)

What??
yeah, I'd pass on almost any of the conversion-type Cobras. Asking for trouble.

Give yourself a couple of years to find the right one.....took me three years but ended up with an excellent car at a really good price.

Unless it's an AC Ace/Bristol with a V8, then I'd grab it with both hands if it was built right.
No way you'd get that for $20k though...

If you are asking if this is a good car to buy, you obviously have done next to no research on cobra replicas. The Cobra is the most replicated car ever made. There are dozens of manufacturers. The only thing they have in common is that the body shape looks (more or less) like a Cobra. Under the skin they can be as different as a Vega vs a Corvette or a Pinto vs a GT40. You need to do a lot of research before you plunk your money down if you want to know that you are getting a good deal - and more importantly, that you are getting what you WANT.

I don't know what the reserve is on this, but right now it's at $15,600.
"Here is a factory built AC Cobra replica built by "Unique Motorcars" with a real 427 FE motor and only 850 miles since completion."
