Default Looking for a Body Shop

I have a Factory Five MK4 Roadster that will be ready by summer for body work and paint. Does anyone know of a body shop in the Houston area that has experience with painting a Cobra type fiberglass roadster?

I know it's not exactly in the Houston area but my car is currently being painted by Dave Brady in Ennis, TX. I did a lot of research before choosing who would paint my car and I am beyond thrilled with Dave! He has a small shop (3 cars at a time) and is a true craftsman, my car should be done for Spring driving weather. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about Dave.

I have no problem with towing my car to Ennis providing the the body shop is a reputable one. By the sound of it, he is very good. Do you have Dave's phone number? Does he do all the body work including fitting the doors, hood and trunk? Do you mind telling me about how much he charges? Since I plan on having the car painted black with silver stripes, I need a perfectly straight body and excellent paint. Did you leave the body on the chassis? On your car, is Dave doing the color sanding and final buffing?

Thanks Austin! I will give Dave a call. From what you said about him, he definitely knows how to handle the body work on fiberglass cobra kit car. I am anxious to here what he will charge me for the body and paint work on a new build. I hoping to do a little of the prep work like setting all the door, hood and trunk gaps. I also plan to sand down all the body mold seams. I know most body shops will not accept work if you do any of the body work. Did you have to wait in line to get your car painted?
