eBay listing: Kellison Stallion built for Lynda Carter / Wonder Woman
The 2nd Kellison Stallion built was sold to Linda Carter (actress who played Wonder Woman on television). It's for sale on Ebay: Replica Kit Makes Stallion 2 Door Convertible | eBay
SBF and under car exhaust make this unique - whether that makes it more valuable or collectible is quite another question. eBay photos would indicate it needs some TLC and/or restoration. More on the car: Kellison Racing |
Would be cool to see some pics of Wonder Women with the car..

good looking car, need to get the ride height down! The pic of the cockpit edge/inst panel is showing what looks like a maroon color, and the original green. One of the things I always liked about the Kellison was the padding around the cockpit edges, reminded me of my MGA !What will it sell for? I think around $ 60K.

"This is not a Kit/Replica Car! These cars were manufactured. "
Why do they need to say that? |
I believe they were built to meet safety and emmision regulations in effect at the time. They were "factory built". ( albeit a small factory) So there would be no problem getting them titled and registered in any state.
|
I have Wonder Woman's invisable jet in my garage. It's for sale. I will deliver. It also was manufactured, not a kit.
|
Have to agree; need a picture of her in the car or copy of an old title to verify WW was a past owner.

Kellison media release mentioning the car, including the decision to go with a 302 and automatic transmission, though no mention of the under car exhaust: PRESS RELEASE
This (index) has some photos in its original Emerald Green, shows the under car exhaust and says "This car was specially built with a 301 small block Ford engine. Interesting enough, it was the only Stallion ever built with a small block Ford engine." Really, a 301? No photos of Lynda, though. Sorry, guys. More on the Stallion prototype, cars #1, 2 & 3, and reference to #2 being owned by Lynda Carter. Still no photos of Lynda. This page (Kellison) has some recent history of ownership: Charlie on October 4, 2014 at 1:27 am said: "I emailed Jim Kellison to see if my Stallion could be the one custom built for Wonder Woman and Jim said yes the VIN is correct. The color is red but Jim told me to look under the leather dash pad for green paint and there it was. I still own Stallion number 2 and it is in pretty good condition."Still no photos of Lynda, with or without the car. Seven minute video of Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman - no Kellison Stallion in sight - though lots of attention on Lynda's uh, physique, often running (and jiggling). It's titled 'Wonder Woman Best Bits' - I kid you not. [ame]https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tla9hZtPj-0[/ame] |

They bought the car in 1978 for $55,000
How much was an original 427 Cobra selling for back then? It wasn't much more than that was it? |
I think Dave Chapelle summed things up well when it comes to Wonder Woman:

That musical performance was awful. Seriously - she can't sing. She looks just fine in her WW costume so I wish I would not have watched this.

I've seen this car at a local cars and coffee in Southeast PA just off 202. Not bad looking but the price of $49K is a little steep.
|
its definitely Linda's previous car, been emailing the owner since he got it, helping him find and repair things on the car. there are certain attributes on the car that verifies it in fact is her car.
only car with a center arm rest, only one with under car exhaust. note knowing the frames on the kellison you would see you cant just add under car exhaust without cutting the frame up to the point of it being a pile of doo-doo anyway the original motor is gone, it didn't have a 5.0, it had a 429CJ, the kellison badges are gone, the green paint is gone, no not a 49K car, maybe a 35K car....on a good day |
the car in the video wasn't linda's car, that was jim kellisons personal car,
|
Stallions were built in Fort Worth, at Hicks airport in south Fort Worth, I use to go there all the time, at night they would race them on the runway back in the day no one cared
