427 FE side oiler needs a rebuild
Hope I'm not breaking any forum rules. I'll appreciate any looks or shares of my link. I'd be more then happy to answer any questions.

Here's a friendly hint for you. Work 2-3 jobs at the same time for six months and fund YOUR OWN rebuild instead of holding out your hand. Sad that you would beg to feed a hobby, all under the disguise of restoring something historical.
People like you disgust me. |
X2...I can't believe someone would do this sort of thing for personal gain.
|
Big balls!!
|
If you can't pay, don't play!
This is not the Beggars Banquet. Pretty sad really, considering all the more important things that need donations these days. I would venture to say that most guys here (including me) have stories about working their asses off to be able to have what they have and didn't look for handouts. |
PITIFUL :eek::rolleyes:

I believe the original post is 'offside', based upon the following excerpts from the Forum Rules (Club Cobra - Smilies
CONDUCT You agree not to post, email, or otherwise make available Content: i) that constitutes or contains any form of advertising or solicitation... j) that includes links to commercial services or web sites... |
Sn4K33Y3z, you’re joking, right? No one can possibly be SO BOLD as to come on this forum and beg for money to rebuild their engine!!
My engine destroyed itself over a year ago and my car is still sitting in my garage, engine-less. The bill for the rebuild? $7,000.00! I am not a rich man. I originally paid for my car with the money I made while deployed to Iraq and Afghanistan. How am I paying for the engine rebuild?? I AM SAVING MY MONEY and will just have to wait until I have it before my car will be back on the road! These cars are near and dear to all of us on this forum, but I doubt that they are anyone’s daily driver – They are a LUXURY! Quit begging and do like the rest of us: SAVE YOUR MONEY and PAY YOUR OWN WAY!! Gun Doc |
Well put Gun Doc!
And thank you for Service!;) |
Tried to do the donation thing
Clicked on the website link to check it out, and guess what? You can't put in less that $2! And I was gonna give my 2 cents worth. So I guess I gotta do it here. Don't post often, but this one just begs for a response. I guess it takes a giant sized pair of cojones to ask for money here for this. May not be against the rules, but it sure is in bad taste and cheeky to the max. Do you guys suppose we will see this car for sale here soon?

Some of the posters on the gofundme.com actually are kinda worthy. The OP's post is not. He didn't even come up with a hard luck story.
|
Pathetic. This kind of post has no business here. Go Fund Me should have some limits also.
|
What a crock and a scam. You've got to be kidding me. I know guys that work 2-3 jobs to play in this game and those are the guys I admire and help out, never asking for a handout. I feel sorry for that engine.

Like a dog with an abusive owner, that Cobra needs a new home - one that will provide the appropriate level of care, attention and a freshened FE.

Sounds like a lot of republican, capitalist zealots heaping abuse on sombody who is down.
Thrir pitiful excuse..."work for it".I'm glad I was able to fund my projects on beating business and lawuits. |

I saw my father work like hard, and all it got him was a string of used chevies and an early death.I was fortunate to get jobs that paid well without overworking myself.I have a nice car collection, tow vehicles, and a Navigator for everyday use.My product liability case will finish up my vintage racer and build me a Daytona Coupe, and my Malpratice case should get me a nice GT40.Shelby himself gained from lawsuits when he was wronged,I do too."Hard work"is a concept to enslave the masses.I have the time to enjoy them because I have a good State of CT pension,Social Security, and Disability.
