Mother
I would not agree completely with your statement that "nobody sells a dream unless they are tired of the problems that pop up" I am a car nut and have the incurable disease of always wanting and dreaming of cool cars. Over the years, I have had more muscle cars, bikes and boats than I can count. However, not being a wealthy guy, I could only have one big toy at a time. Each time I bought something, I would do upgrades to make them just right ( I am pretty anal that way). Anyway, I don't keep my toys long term, because, once I experience the fun and thrill of owning each one, I then turn to my next dream toy. When I sell, I usually take a hit, as you never re couple the money spent on all the upgrades. Not the smartest invested for sure, but never have regretted having each toy. Sure I would love to have a warehouse full of toys, but that is not going to happen. I just bought my Cobra over a year ago, spent a lot doing upgrades, and love the car and have so much fun with it. But I am already setting my sights to move on to the next toy. Ken |

I'll probably never know which were the deciding factors in putting the car up for sale, but possibilities include: a) his advancing years; b) limited mobility; c) desire to avoid significant investments in upgrades; d) he was getting tired of it after 10 years; e) inability to enjoy the car due to other commitments; f) something else; or g) all of the above. These cars go up for sale for a variety of reasons - it would be risky to assume those are primarily due to something wrong with the car. |

It was here where I learned about kits v factory assembled cars etc. my decision on which car to buy was largely formed from discussions here. I'll bet this forum is where the vast majority of new cobra buyers come after an initial Google search. Let's do them all justice and give them what they came for. some of what is said will be objective, but let the reader filter the info. With a little bell curve analysis the truth comes out. But not if we keep quiet. |
