Shelby car hauler
Heard an interesting story at last Saturday's Pismo Derelicts car show.
An attendee (who I think is credible) told a story of being involved with Shelby in the 70's and 80's and one of their projects was a "car hauler". It was a pick-up truck front "half" with a custom bed that lowered to "ground level". Supposedly (as the story was related" you could litereally push a car onto the bed by hand. A few were made before the project died. Anybody ever hear of this??????? I'll try to find out more. Cheers Greg |

We can always depend on Mrmustang to be helpful

mrmustang. That's amazing. Looks like an inclined ramp judging by the alum siding angle.
Is there any more info or pics? Cheers Greg |

Here are some Shelby/Cobra haulers:

I remember seeing pics of an old pickup-based Shelby single car hauler some time back, but can't remember where. https://s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com...30a90e034e.jpg http://bringatrailer.com/wp-content/...uler_Bed_1.jpg Ultimate cool though is this Mercedes rig http://41.media.tumblr.com/fcaa784a7...4gzo4_1280.jpg |

Any idea if the red 66 ramp truck posted by Buzz is the real thing? Is it still known to exist?
