Sheesh, just when the subject's posts proved to be consistent with known axioms, a new boundary condition pops up requiring a re-proof of the underlying hypothesis.

(Just kidding Tony, all in good fun). :)

Actually we went to Twin Peaks for their happy hour. Giant beers for $3 and 1/2 price appetizers and the beginning of Thursday Night Football starting at 5:00. When we got there it was empty but by the time we left (end of half) it was SRO. Everyone chuckles at the Twin Peaks girls, but let me tell you, after all this time (at least once a week, sometimes more) we have NEVER HAD BAD SERVICE!!!! The wait staff (no males) are always prompt, friendly and professional. Newbies have to wear a Bambi name badge.

Red Lobster doesn't have buffets. I wish they did. For buffets we go to the GReen Valley on Sunday morning brunch two for 1 along with the same friends. Great omelets.

Years ago the buffets were steals and part of the casino loss leaders, but now not so much. With the locals 2 for 1 coupons it's a fair price. Still you can get a full seafood all you can eat at some of them for $25 which is still not a bad deal.

- Public Service Announcement -

It has come to our attention that at least one member is impersonating being a CSX4000 owner. Sources further describe the imposter as a "chamois toting lackey" who just enjoys shinning his spouse's CSX. So members beware, know who you are posting to. Further information will be provided as it becomes available.

- This concludes the Public Service Announcement -

Says the guy who own a Cobra replica of any kind, or at least won't confirm for us what he does or doesn't own. Do statements like this really make you feel superior in some way?

Joe's Garage 10-17-2015 12:01 PM

Reply Q1: Oh, I own a replica, no doubt about it. It's all in big pieces on the garage floor just like yours was once. I look forward to the day I can register it as a replica in my state just as you registered your replica in VA. I don't think my state has a comments block where they type in Replica, but it will no doubt be identified as such IAW that that state's regs.

Reply Q2: I take no pleasure in making such Public Service Announcements, it saddens the heart to see our quaint little community corrupted by morally depraved outsiders.

That advances your cause now doesn't it? Actually, its just as convincing as all the rest of the flotsam and jetsam advanced by your sour grapes gang

As far as our "quaint little community", I would hardly use such a description to describe this place. Apparently you still struggle with word definitions like the rest of your "gang". Secondly, as far as me being an "outsider" again, you are apparently still lost and confused.

I've been around these cars for nearly 20 years now. Owned my Shelby for nearly 15 years. An ERA before that and an Excalibur before that. Likely been around these cars way before you and likely will be a Cobra enthusiast and owner long after you are a distant unpleasant memory. Seen a lot of .....well "guys" like you come and go.

In fact, I'd wager you will never even finish your fake Cobra sitting in a box. By the way, as noted you never even posted up pics. Who built the chassis? Come on tell us. Don't be embarrassed.

By the way do you even own a Registry?. It's clear a lot of the sour grape boys soiling their pants over this subject don't. Have you even read any part of it? Nah. Never mind. I can tell you haven't.

Nope, mine was never in pieces on the garage floor. It came fully assembled minus drivetrain from Shelby. By the time it was in my garage the first time it had the drivetrain installed.

Fair enough, I enjoy the "hands on" experience so planned my build accordingly. I just hope my state's replica registration process goes as smoothly as yours did in VA.

Some of us have the experience but just don't have the time or will power anymore. Anything I buy now is a turn key car now. Comes with age.
Your car would prob be done now if you didn't have Evan on your mind 24/7 :D

Joe's Garage 10-17-2015 01:23 PM

Don't worry about my car, it will get done. I would hazard a guess that I will have my replica on the road before Evan has his replica on the road

You know, that is really grasping at straws.

If directed at Real 1, the details of who in the family's name is on the title is not relevant to this discussion and you know that.

If directed at me, please explain once again how present ownership is relevant?

So, how about starting a topic over in the scratch builder's subforum about your car? We'd love to see the progress.

- Public Service Announcement, Update #1 -

It has now come to our attention that there is a 2nd member pretending to be CSX4000 owner. Sources characterize this imposter as one who was "hen-pecked" to the point of selling his CSX sometime ago. Please stay alert and forever diligent when posting on public forums, it's a jungle out there.
