Default Re painting a cobra?

Hey guys, I've been wondering about this for the longest time. I recently sold my M3 and this has been my dream car since I had eyes. I found a deal close by by but I don't care for the colors on the car. The car is currently white with red guts and while I searched high and low to find this exact color combo on a previous BMW it doesn't excite me like I'd want it to on the cobra. The money is right though so if I need to put a few grand into it to get it to a gun metal or dark grey I would. Just not sure of the process and cost associated with repainting fg and more specifically one of these. I am still attempting to contact the owner to determine what type of kit it is so ill update as I know. Thanks gents!

Figure $4,000-$8,000 without stripes

Also, since you are unsure of the kit you are looking at, please remember, while they look the same, not all kits are the same. Some are headaches, some are not. Knowing what you are potentially buying is very important.

Any kits I should stay away from specifically? I know the big 3 are solid but I haven't searched kit horror stories to know what not to buy. The car looks ok but I've yet to see it in person. The seller is asking only 26500 which is worrisome but he may be hurting or it could be a $hit kit. Either way for the money I have to look.

Which "Classic", as there were at least 4 companies that used that name in their names.
