Once a Smiths man, always a Smiths man.
Once an SW man, always an SW man ......although Shel did go back to Smiths with the 427, didn't he?
Cheers,
Glen

Didn't you like the bit about how it had an original Cobra engine?

They said something about alloy and then went back to saying "composite"

Agreed. I know Jim.
Did not know that it was his build-out or I wouldn't have questioned it.

I do remember hearing something of another model after the leaf spring but I thought it was just a myth!

When we ordered that car and picked it up at SAI it was one of the first CSX 8000's to come from S. Africa

It sold for under $100k not counting buyers premium. So much for them being worth the $150-200k they charged for the 50 " special edition" slab sides about a year ago. Although the black with red interior is a nicer color combination. Cobra's have never done well at Barrett Jackson.
A white csx2000 series original automatic slab side went for as much money as the infamous dragon snake at right at a million. I was surprised with the racing history Dragonsnake had it didn't go higher. Overall, Bonhams,RM and Barrett Jackson were about soft at about 20% lower than than many of the estimates

Well, if it had an "original Cobra engine," now we're talking $150,000. The Ford Motorsport engine really killed the price.
Actually that blue is pretty darn nice.

The rear bumper on the first continuation is way too wide for the car. Maybe it's for a 427 but it looks even wider than that.

I find it unbelievable that they can't get the dash right on the continuation cars. I know it's hard to find the original charge indicator light, although I found a few, but the glove box door is the wrong shape and the knob incorrectly placed, the drop of the lower edge is wrong,....
